LEEMING FAMILY HISTORY & GENEALOGY
I am Tony Leeming and I am researching the name LEEMING and all variants worldwide. I am a member of the Guild of One-Name studies and am the holder of the study for LEEMING – www.one-name.org Variants include Leaming, Leemin, Leming & Lemynge.
The name Leeming may have originated from a variety of ways, but the most likely is from one of the two places in Yorkshire England of that name. The name is found most commonly in Yorkshire and Lancashire and to a lesser extent in the adjoining counties. With the advent of emigration it is now found throughout the English speaking world.
